saying “brown butter maple pecan cinnamon buns” five times fast is no easy task.... but making them sure is! with no pesky yeast/rising times, these buns can be made (& consumed) in less than an hour! 🙃

you guys voted, i complained but listened. this peanut butter brown sugar cake with chocolate fudge buttercream is from my friend michelle’s [@hummingbirdhigh] new cookbook: weeknight baking. and lemme just tell you, you neeeeed it in your life. (not bad for being my second layer cake, right?!)

this is a post i never imagined i would write: one where i announce I’M WRITING A COOKBOOK!!! i dunno if i should scream with joy, pee my pants, or vomit a little bit. or all 3.

i cant wait to share more details down the line, but for now let’s just say it’ll be a book containing a collection of dessert recipes that can be classified as either a brownie or a bar 🙃

i hope you’ll stick around here as i work my way through the recipe development & writing process these next few months; i might be posting a little less in this space but i’ll continue sharing the process behind the scenes in my stories and will soon have an open call for recipe testers and feedback givers (so keep an eye out!) 😬♥️
